How do you get an alarm for an iCloud calendar event?
iCloud calendars appear in the iPhone Calendar app, and Pealo reads them from there, so there is no separate iCloud sign-in. Allow calendar access once and it arms a real system alarm before each event on the calendars you pick: your own, shared family calendars, subscribed calendars and birthdays. The iPhone is on Silent Mode or muted
SolvedCalendar alerts are notifications and follow the mute switch. Alarms do not, which is why Pealo schedules one.
Focus is on, perhaps from another device
SolvediCloud shares Focus between your Apple devices, so a Focus you turned on elsewhere hides calendar alerts on the iPhone too. Alarms are exempt from Focus.
The alert appeared on another Apple device
SolvediCloud can show the Calendar alert on a Mac while the iPhone stays quiet. A Pealo alarm is scheduled on the iPhone itself, so it rings in your pocket.
The event arrived without an alert
SolvedInvitations and shared-calendar events often have no alert set. Pealo ignores per-event settings and uses your lead time.

Does Pealo need my iCloud password?
No. iCloud is already signed in on the iPhone, and Pealo only asks for calendar access.
Can Pealo ring on my iPad or Mac?
Not yet. Pealo is an iPhone app today. The iPad and Mac versions are in development and each has a waiting list.
Do calendars I subscribed to by link work?
Yes. A subscribed calendar appears in the list like any other and can arm alarms or stay off.
Does it work with iCloud Family Sharing?
Yes. Family calendars appear like any other and can be switched on or off individually.
What happens if I edit the event on my Mac?
The change syncs through iCloud to the iPhone Calendar app and the alarm moves with it. Delete the event and the alarm goes too.
Do iCloud Reminders with a time create alarms?
Not by default. Timed reminders can be switched on as their own source if you want them to ring.
